West Midlands Christian League, Division Two
Brierley Hill AOG 0 Monyhull Church 7 (att 7)
An eighth win in eight league games for Monyhull, and no surprise as it was also an eighth defeat in eight league games for Brierley Hill AOG.
The win may have been comfortable, but Brierley Hil put up a good fight and it took a while before the visitors went in front. Their lead was 3-0 by half time, and four goals followed in a more one-sided second period.
Of the various Saturday morning leagues the West Midlands version is among the best. The league's Full Time website is kept up to date with full venue information, and matches usually have three officials.
Brierley Hill AOG (I believe the AOG stands for Assembly of God, this is a church league) are based in Stourbridge. They play at Swan Pool Playing Fields, where a pair of pitches are separated by a small car park.
It's a nice place to watch a game, at least in good weather. There's a grass bank on the road side with two park benches, one utilised by each team, while the park slopes away on the far side of the pitch.
