4pm 7 March 2015
Mid Wales League, Division One
Aberaeron 1 Penrhyncoch 2 (att 240)
It may have been a Cerdigion League "hop" but the organisers took the opportunity to include Mid Wales League Aberaeron's new home ground, useful for me I'd seen at game at their former venue over 10 years ago.
It's a venue that ticks the boxes in terms of what's required for the higher level of football, with hard standing on both sides and a small shelter providing some cover for spectators, but being so close to the seafront it felt exposed, and cold, on what was a windy day.
Penrhyncoch are challenging for the league title, and quickly made their mark on this game as they raced into a two goal lead. Aberaeron pulled a goal back just before half time, but there were no further goals in what was a rather disappointing second half.
