Bovingdon v Chipperfield Corinthians

3pm  1 April 2013

Herts Senior County League, Premier Division
Bovingdon 3 Chipperfield Corinthians 0 (att 58)

I've almost become a regular at Herts County League football this season, this being my fourth game so far.

It was a routine win for Bovingdon, who need points in their battle to avoid relegation. They scored the only goal of a rather dour first half, before adding a couple more in a much more lively second period.

Before they made the game safe Bovingdon had to endure plenty of pressure from the visitors, and the two sides just about did enough to entertain a good-sized crowd on a very cold afternoon.

Bovingdon's ground was better than I'd expected. The pitch is railed off, as you'd expect in this league, but there's also a largish stand, and a nice clubhouse with a tea bar inside.
