No so long ago these two sides would have met at under 18 level in the Football League Youth Alliance, but these days they're both in with other non-League clubs in the South West Counties Youth League.
Torquay were playing their final league fixture, and doing so as champions after winning 13 of their previous 15 matches. They couldn't make it 14 against Yeovil, and needed a goal deep in stoppage time to rescue a point.
A draw was the least that Torquay deserved after an impressive performance. But Yeovil, looking to climb a couple of mid-table places, had defended well after a taking a first half lead.
Torquay United play youth team matches on a 3G pitch at the South Devon College Sports Centre in Paignton. I'd expected a basic venue but was pleasantly surprised. There's a seated stand and a covered standing area, and spectators can watch from one end as well as one side.
