Thurcroft 1 Silkstone United 3 (att 24)
Thurcroft play in Todwick, barely two miles from Kiveton Park making their 3pm kick off within easy reach of the afternoon's earlier game.
This was the final game of the season for both teams, and one with nothing at stake as Silkstone had already won the league while Thurcroft had only the slight risk of dropping one mid-table place.
A narrow and bumpy pitch, with grass that hadn't seen a mower for a while, made good football difficult. Not surprisingly Silkstone looked stronger from the start, and they seized on defensive errors for a 2-0 half time lead.
It took them a while before they added a third, and they should have scored more, but the home side's supporters had something to cheer when Thurcroft pulled one back late on.
