Baguley Athletic v Church Inn

10.30am  12 April 2014

Manchester Saturday Morning League, Division Three
Baguley Athletic 2 Church Inn 2 (att 9)

The last time I saw Church Inn, in February, they were on the wrong end of a 9-1 scoreline at East Mancunia United, but they were better today and deserved their share of the points at Baguley's Timperley home.

The home side led twice, but the visitors levelled each time, a goal each in each half. For the third level of the Manchester Saturday Morning League it wasn't a bad game, and played, mostly, in a good spirit.

Baguley Athletic are based at Beechfields, a typically basic set up for the league, with changing rooms and a car parking leading to a playing field with five pitches, four for football and one for rugby. The furthest of the football pitches was used for this match, while a youth team game, attracting a large crowd of parents, took place on the pitch next door.
