West Yorkshire League, Premier Division
Horsforth St Margaret's 2 Rawdon Old Boys 0 (att 44)
Horsforth St Margaret's are top of the table only on goal difference, but they'll be difficult to dislodge if they continue to perform as they did against Rawdon, especially in the opening half.
Their swift attacking football was particularly irresistible during a first half spell when they scored both their goals, and twice hit the post. Their second goal was an unstoppable shot from distance.
Rawdon Old Boys hadn't played badly but were fortunate to be just 2-0 down at half time. They rallied after the break and made life tougher for their hosts, whose own football didn't quite click into gear the way it had earlier.
The two sides played good football, but despite chances at both ends there were no more goals.
Horsforth St Margaret's are currently playing home games on an artificial pitch at Woodhouse Grove School in Apperley Bridge, on the fringes of Bradford.
