Llanboidy v Maesglas

2.30pm  8 March 2015

Ceredigion League, Division One
Llanboidy 3 Maesglas 3 (att 219)

It's been a difficult season for both these sides. They went into this game without a point between them and already relegated to Division Two, but despite that they provided good entertainment in the final game of the Ceredigion League "hop".

Defensive frailties were easy to see as the sides traded goals in a first half which ended with the home side 3-2 ahead. It was fitting for the game to be levelled thanks to Maesglas' second half equaliser, and I guess both sides will be satisfied at ensuring they don't end the season pointless.

Llanboidy is a tiny village in Carmarthenshire, and once again I was impressed by the organisation in staging this game. The ground isn't bad all, with the pitch pitch partly roped off and partly fenced, and with some advertising boards on the far side.
