Felinfach v Bargod Rangers

1.15pm  7 March 2015

Ceredigion League, Division One
Felinfach 1 Bargod Rangers 1 (att 245)

First match of a busy groundhopping weekend in Wales, for me at least, having already been to the Friday night and Saturday morning venues.

Caridganshire is one of my favourite areas of the UK, and I'm always impressed by the efforts local clubs go to when staging groundhop games such as this. Felinfach was no exception, and were well organised to cope with the influx of visitors.

Felinfach Playing Field is a typical village sports ground, with a changing rooms and an open pitch. The pitch itself is on the crown of a hill and slopes considerably to the sides. Standing on touchline it's difficult to see what's going on the opposite side, with the players hidden below the waist.

In truth it wasn't a great game for the mostly neutral crowd. The visitors went ahead in the first half, the home side equalised in the second. A draw was probably a fair outcome.
