Bedfont Sports v Hanworth Villa

7.45pm  17 March 2015

Combined Counties League, Premier Division
Bedfont Sports 0 Hanworth Villa 4 (att 35)

Having been brought up nearby, and with family less than a mile from the Hatton Road ground, it's a wonder that I hadn't got round to visiting Bedfont Sports before now, In fact it was the final ground I needed to recomplete the Combined Counties League.

The club are relatively new, having been formed in 2002 from what had been a Sunday side. There's a nice social club, and the ground has been developed into a tidy venue, with plenty of cover and seated stands. The latest addition is a stand behind the goal.

Bedfont Sports have been doing well on the pitch in recent years, but apparently are suffering a bit a slump in their last few games, and local rivals Hanworth Villa, bottom on the league ahead of kick off, took full advantage.

Villa were far better throughout, scoring once in the first half and three more in the first 20 minutes of the second. After that they seemed content to keep possession, but looked capable of scoring more had they needed to.

Bedfont Sports were very poor, and on this form most be hoping they've already secured enough points to remain in this division for next season.
