Sychdyn v AFC Brynford

6.30pm  13 August 2013

Clwyd East League
Sychdyn 0 AFC Brynford 3 (att 23)

Tonight was the opening round of matches in the Clwyd East League's new season, and although it's tough to tell after just one game I suspect AFC Brynford will do well.

They played some good football, and had they been sharper once they reached the Sychdyn penalty area, which they did regularly, they'd have scored a few more goals.

Those they did score came after 18, 60 and 80 minutes of a game that was entertaining if a little one- sided. Sychdyn were no match for them, but worked hard an came close to scoring on a few occasions.

Their ground is a pleasant village recreation ground, with the pitch a short distance from wooden changing rooms and a car park. No spectator facilities, but the near touchline was roped off to keep fans at bay.
