Lancashire Amateur League, Division One
Ainsworth 0 Bolton Wyresdale 4 (att 9)
Routine win for the visitors away to the division's bottom side, thanks to one goal in the first half and three more in the second.
The size of the defeat was a bit harsh on Ainsworth, who played their part in a largely entertaining game. They probably deserved a goal for their efforts, although in truth they rarely threatened the Wyresdale goal.
Ainsworth's Bankfield ground is better than you might expect for this league. It's in a very rural setting, and the steeply sloping pitch is enclosed, with changing rooms and a car park at the near end and dugouts facing each other on the halfway line.
