North East Wales League, Championship
Acton 4 Gronant 4 (att 45)
Acton are quite a mobile club. This was the third different home ground I've seen them play on since 2013, and it remains to be seen how long they remain at Ysgol Morgan Llwyd.
It's an artificial pitch and fairly typical of such venues. It's floodlit, allowing some games, like this one, to be played on Friday nights. There's a spectator area along one side of the pitch.
This is the fifth, and in this part of the country the lowest, tier of domestic Welsh football. Despite the lowly level it was a very good game, and a high standard.
The first half in particular was great to watch. Gronant came close to going ahead in the opening moments, but two well-taken goals put Acton in the ascendancy. The visitors got a goal back but almost immediately conceded a third. Gronant weren't beaten though, fighting back to make it 3-3 just before half time.
The second period was quieter, at least in terms of goals. Gronant looked to have won it when they went ahead for the first time after 72 minutes, but in the last minute Acton scored a fourth to earn a point. A draw was a fair outcome.
