10.30am 22 September 2012
North Berkshire League, Division Two
Coleshill United 2 Ardington and Lockinge 5 (att 171)
The first of four games in one day ... a bit of a daunting prospect and the first time I'd seen so many matches in just a day.
Fortunately it was an entertaining and goal filled start. The visitors raced into a commanding 3-0 lead before Coleshill pulled one back before half time. They got a second back after the break, but were undone by a red card for a dangerous tackle, and with a man advantage Ardington scored twice more.
Coleshill's rural ground is a very pleasant place to watch football, and the club was well organised to cope with the influx of groundhoppers attending the North Berkshire League "hop".
