Kent County League, Premier Division
Fleetdown United 1 Chipstead 1 (att 34)
My second Kent County League game of the day, this time a division higher, and thankfully it was more entertaining than the earlier match at Coney Hall.
Chipstead need points in their fight to avoid relegation and scored the only goal of a first half they just about shaded. They looked as if they'd hang onto their lead, despite picking up a red card and the home side's increasingly frantic attempts to equalise. But, deep in stoppage time, Fleetdown got a deserved equaliser.
Overall it wasn't the highest-quality game though, with too many players misplacing passes and struggling to control the ball.
The ground, in Dartford, was also a disappointment for this level. A token effort meant about a third of one touchline was roped off, with decent, if distant, views of the action available from along the top of a rather overgrown grass bank on the same side.
