Oxhey v Old Parmiterians

7pm  30 April 2019

Herts Senior County League, Division One
Oxhey 5 Old Parmiterians 0 (att 6)

I was in London for work for a few days so got lucky when this game appeared in the fixture list, within easy reach by rail from my base near Euston.

Oxhey are a relatively new club at this level, and play games at Queens' School in Bushey. The school facilities span both sides of Aldenham Road, with first team games on a railed off pitch, complete with dugouts, on the north side and changing rooms on the south side.

It was a pleasant place to watch a game on a spring evening, and although there was little a stake on the pitch it was still a decent game.

A well-taken goal gave Oxhey a first half lead, before they took complete control in the second half. Old Parmiterians had no answer as the home added four more goals without reply.
